How to Upload Images

You have planned and built your website and now you are ready to add photos. Adding images to your website is easy. Doodlekit offers several options for uploading images and ways to manage your photos and images. You can create an album to hold your photos and images and galleries to hold your albums. Manage your photos, images, and albums with the backend image library tools. Your Doodlekit website includes sample photos and images in the Image Library that you may use on your website.

Drag and Drop Method

Doodlekit makes it easy to upload images using the drag and drop method. This method uses tools available in the Quick Edit Form.

1. Begin by clicking the Gallery icon to open the Quick Edit Form.

 

 

2. On the Quick Edit form click the image icon in the menu bar, this will open a pop-up window called Insert Image.

3. Now choose the image you want to add from your files.

 

4. Right Click on the image and drag it to the Insert Image window and drop it.

5. When the image is uploaded the Insert Image window will close and the image will appear in the Quick Edit Form.

6. Click the Save button at the bottom of the editor to add the changes.

Select File Method

You may also upload images using the select file method by clicking the Gallery button to open the Quick Edit Form.

1. On the Quick Edit form click the image icon in the menu bar, this will open a pop-up window called Insert Image.

2. Click on the Choose File button to choose the image you want to add.

3. When the image is uploaded the Insert Image window will close and the uploaded image will appear in the Quick Edit Form.

4. Click the Save button to add the changes.

Image Library Tools Method

To upload an image using the backend Image Library tools:

1. Click on Administrator tool in the upper left hand side of the browser window.

2. Click on the image tab to open the Image Library.

3. Click the button to choose the image you want to add to the library. The Quick Edit Form will open.

4. Click the  button.

5. When an image is uploaded, a title or description can be added for the image. You can also crop the image, rotate, resize the image in the Quick Edit Form.

6. When you are done, be sure to click the  button to add the changes.

 

With a paid plan website, images and photos may be uploaded in bulk using the same uploading methods.
